Rate: $35 per hour (Compensation varies based on game complexity and the depth of analysis requested in your review)
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly engage with unreleased games to evaluate gameplay mechanics, narrative elements, and overall user experience.
- Document and communicate technical glitches and performance problems in clear detail to support the development team.
- Produce thoughtful, well-structured reviews that assess game quality, offering balanced perspectives on what works and what could be enhanced.
- Keep pace with current industry developments and best practices to maintain the relevance and quality of your assessments.
- Work alongside other testers and development professionals to exchange insights and recommendations.
Skills/background needed:
- Genuine enthusiasm for video games with familiarity across various genres and gaming platforms.
- Strong writing abilities to create clear, compelling game evaluations and critiques.
- Sharp observation skills with the capacity to spot, describe, and communicate technical and gameplay concerns.
- Prior game testing or professional review experience is not required; what matters is your eagerness to develop your skills and take on new challenges.
- Dependable internet access and appropriate gaming hardware to complete assignments effectively.
Hours per week: Flexible.
